Announcement: EGI.eu is here! Staff positions announced

 

Last Wednesday (February 3 2010) marked an important milestone in the development of a sustainable European Grid Infrastructure – the establishment of EGI.eu.

The EGI Council, formed under a Memorandum of Understanding signed in July 2009 by 38 National Grid Initiatives and research organisations, agreed on a set of statutes to govern EGI.eu. EGI.eu is a new organisation with an objective to:

Create and maintain a pan-European grid infrastructure in collaboration with NGIs in order to guarantee its long-term availability for performing research and innovation activities.

The establishment of EGI.eu in Amsterdam (an independent legal entity formed under Dutch law) will now continue with the recruitment of staff.
